The Greater Good Barbecue is a locally owned restaurant that has been open for about two years in Tucker. The large, wrap-around outdoor patio immediately captures your attention as you arrive. The inside is very spacious and casual, but we headed straight outdoors to enjoy the spring air on the patio.
The Greater Good Barbecue’s specialty is of course; barbecue and they offer a simple, yet expansive array of pork favorites. I had the Pulled Pork Plate served with Texas Toast, along with Cole Slaw and fresh cut French fries, which was very filling. They also have Baby Back Ribs, Smoked Chicken and other barbecue favorites on the menu.
Sides include Mac n Cheese, Collard Greens, Baked Beans, Tater Tots, Brisket Chili and others. They serve a range of barbecue sandwiches as well as sliders and Tucker Tacos.
The bar features a pretty extensive selection of beverages including many craft beers like New Belgium Fat Tire, Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan and Lefthand Sawtooth Ale to name a few, including familiar domestics. The outdoor patio is a great location to enjoy a beverage while enjoying the outdoors.
The restaurant occasionally offers live music on select nights and it seems to get very busy during performances.
